UCrate is an excellent packaging option for protecting delicate items.
Laminated paperboard construction provides impact resistance, scuff protection and stackability.
"Many customers we've worked with over the years have been anxious to have an alternative source for buying this type of product," said Rick Detienne, President of Laminations. "Now businesses finally have a genuine choice of suppliers and products."
Laminations made substantial investments to develop proprietary state-of-the-art equipment to manufacture a UCrate product that delivers accurate sizes with outstanding consistency and uniformity. The equipment's flexibility, capacity and speed ensure fast turnaround and prompt delivery.
"With highly efficient new equipment and readily available capacity, Laminations will be able to set new standards for turnaround times and responsiveness to customers' quick-service requirements," said Detienne.
UCrate offers many advantages over traditional packaging methods. It provides an ideal alternative to wood because it is lighter weight, eliminates the risk of bug infestation, and is safer because it contains no splinters. It is stackable and top loading, which speeds packing/unpacking time and simplifies storage as compared to end-loading, hard-to-stack options like tubes.
Because it's manufactured from laminated paperboard, UCrate provides superior impact resistance and scuff protection when compared to corrugate. It also offers substantial beam strength while providing enough flexibility to provide shock absorbing properties. At the same time, it is made from 100% recycled fiber and is fully recyclable.
All these attributes in one product can mean a significant savings in labor, freight and storage as well as enhanced protection.
Another key benefit that's only available with UCrate is Laminations' hassle-free service approach. Multi-tiered account teams are designed for immediate responsiveness. In addition, our expert packaging engineering staff is ready to help evaluate, select and develop the ideal solution to any packaging challenge.
"We expect to earn our customers' 'first call' for UCrate products, just as we have for many years with our VBoard edge protectors," continued Detienne. "We're very pleased that these equipment investments and the introduction of UCrate will allow us to further demonstrate our commitment to being the premier packaging problem-solver in our industry."
