Laminations® Will Present Its VBoard® Line at Pack Expo International 2004

APPLETON, Wis.-Laminations, part of Great Northern Corporation's Specialty Group, will feature products from its VBoard® family of edge protectors in booth E-8810 at Pack Expo International 2004 Nov. 7-11 at McCormick Place, Chicago.

Made by laminating recycled paperboard into a rigid right-angle shape, VBoard provides superior edge protection as well as load stabilization and package integrity. Laminations also converts its VBoard product into a variety of value-added configurations that solve packaging and protection problems simply and cost-effectively.

• PF PalletTop®, made by riveting together two pieces of notched VBoard, unfolds easily to form a sturdy square or rectangular shape that snugly fit the tops, sides or bottoms of palletized loads. It also can be used to hold corner posts in place on display-ready pallets for ease in unitizing and stretch wrapping.
• ChannelLock® offers a cost-saving, innovative way to protect the edges of long, narrow products such as doors, windows and panels during shipping and storage. ChannelLock uses two pieces of VBoard that slide together and lock securely without glue or rivets. Because the pieces nest together for shipping, ChannelLock can save up to 75 percent on shipping costs.
• FlexBoard® adds an extra dimension to edge and strapping protection for curved and irregular-shaped objects. Sequential notches give FlexBoard the ability to conform to almost any shape, making it especially useful in protecting coiled and spooled materials.

Laminations' first plastic product, Extruded VBoard®, was introduced earlier this year. Made from strong, weatherproof extruded plastic, Extruded VBoard is 100 percent waterproof, features a glossy black, high-quality finish, and provides the perfect edge protection for produce, steel, lumber and outdoor storage market applications. Like all of its paperboard cousins, it is 100 percent recyclable.
