New Mega VBoard® Offers Product Protection and Transport Stability

Cost-effective, sustainable alternative to wood adds strength to packaging systems

APPLETON, Wis.  May 11, 2010 – Laminations®, a part of Great Northern Corporation, has introduced Mega VBoard® with wide leg widths that offer environmentally friendly protection and transport stability for windows, house doors, garage doors and irregularly-shaped products.

Mega VBoard is manufactured using proprietary state-of-the-art machinery that creates V-shaped paperboard edge protection with legs up to 18 total inches. Leg configurations can be symmetrical with sizes of up to 9 inches by 9 inches or asymmetrical and customized with a minimum leg of 2 inches.

Mega VBoard standard lengths extend to 300 inches, but longer lengths are available. Standard caliper options range from 0.080 to 0.600 inches. Custom printing also is available.

A cost-effective and time-saving alternative to wood crates or corrugate, Mega VBoard integrates easily into packaging systems and is designed to work well with high-speed automated pallet assembly systems. It also can be customized using other packaging components, such as foam.
