As a leading national manufacturer and provider of VBoard® Edge Protection, Great Northern Laminations showcased its latest E-Commerce Package Protection that comply with Amazon’s recent Frustration-Free Packaging Guidelines at PACK EXPO 2019 in Las Vegas, NV.
Great Northern Laminations’ Account Manager, Mary Smith, recently visited her son’s 4th grade class at Dryden Elementary in Arlinton Heights, IL, to help with an end-of-the year assignment: to teach the kids about soft skills such as collaboration and problem-solving. This year’s assignment was to work in groups to build, stack, and carry five boxes. Without any extra materials, the 19 students found that carrying the stacked boxes was almost impossible. But with the aid of Laminations’ VBoard edge protection and a few rubber bands, the students were able to quickly and easily carry, and even race their stacked boxes.
Just one of the many ways Laminations VBoard® can solve a stacking challenge!
The experts at Great Northern Laminations know what it takes to get your packaging certified under Amazon’s strict packaging guidelines. They share four best practices for minimizing your e-commerce packaging and maximizing customer satisfaction in Packaging Strategies’ recent article.
Effective 8/1/19, Amazon will require all packages that exceed 18”x 14”x 8” or greater than 20 lbs. sold through Amazon to comply with its Frustration-Free Packaging program. For those vendors who don’t comply with the new standards, financial penalties will apply. Early adaptors of the new standards will receive financial incentives.
As a member of Amazon’s APASS network, Laminations can assist its distributor partners and their customers with how to comply with Amazon’s new packaging guidelines.
Great Northern Laminations is now a member of the Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network (APASS), a select group of companies that Amazon officially recognizes as packaging experts who can help e-commerce vendors with their packaging challenges.
