NotchBoard® Protects Architectural Panels Headed to Smithsonian
The Challenge
Element, a Seattle-based company that specializes in custom architectural metalwork, was faced with the challenge of transporting panels, that will be hung in the Smithsonian, from their facility in Oregon to the assembly facility in Ohio.
The Bottom Line
Two pieces of NotchBoard® were joined to form a channel along the edge of each panel. The packaging remained with the panels from transport through installation, reducing the risk of damage. After the panels were strategically packaged and prepared for shipment, they arrived safely and damage-free at the new museum.
